Drinking with James Bond

Join the Man with the Golden Shaker and break out of your Quantum of Solace for a very special evening of 007-inspired cocktails. Our very own Q will take you through a class For Your Eyes Only where we’ll make a Bond-approved martini and a whiskey sour that will have you feeling like You Only Live Twice.

Raising a Glass to Ernest Hemingway

Hemingway had some very specific ideas about how a proper drink should be made, and even invented a few classics of his own. We’ll explore Hemingway’s life and literary works while making two of his favourite cocktails – a Classic Daiquiri and a Gambler’s Delight. Learn how to measure, shake, stir and pour like a pro while we pretend we’re in Cuba for a day.

Cocktails with Fleming and Heming(way)

Both James Bond and Ernest Hemingway certainly knew their way around a drink, and so will you after this hands-on cocktail class! We’ll teach you all the fundamentals of measuring, shaking, stirring and garnishing while we explore some of their seminal works. You’ll create two delicious, perfectly balanced classic cocktails – a Daiquiri that would do Papa proud and a 007-worthy Vodka Martini.

Jane-Austen Inspired Cocktails

Spend a romantic evening at the Pemberley Estate as we explore the works of Jane Austen. You’ll learn all the fundamentals to make a Victorian-era riff on a Tom Collins and an orange-wine inspired Whiskey Sour that are sure to delight all your Sense and Sensibilities.

Drinks with The Lord of the Rings

Join some of your favourite hobbits (and humans!) on a cocktailing adventure through Middle Earth. We’ll enjoy a fellowship-worthy riff on a French 75 at the Prancing Pony and explore the magic of Rivendell with an elf-approved elixir of our own devising as we teach you to measure, shake, stir and pour like a true heir of Isildur.

Great Expectations

Festive Drinks with Charles Dickens

Travel back to a cozier time, when traveling societies shared drinks around the fire and even debtors could find respite over a bowl of hot gin punch. Charles Dickens may have put his characters through a dizzying array of trials and tribulations, but they all shared his love of a stiff drink. We will guide you through a few of Boz’s own recipes — a whiskey sling from his Sketches, and a warm, port-based drink appropriate for the season — taken straight from his pages.

Ask about additional themes or Choose Your Own Adventure and have us build you a custom class based on a favourite book, author, genre or era.
